PCCP

Our Programs

The Partnership's programs are designed to help communities meet some of their most pressing needs, especially those of children and teenagers. From equipment lending programs and network meetings for children with special needs to educating and mentoring teenagers facing parenthood, we seek to connect individuals and schools with the resources, training, and support they need to lead happy, productive lives.

For schools and communities:

P.E. for All Kids: inclusive activities and curriculum to help P.E. teachers include ALL children, with equipment and games enabling children with special needs to participate.

Early Care and Education: helps to educate and support child care providers, including help with start up and expansion licensing and accreditation, on-site and group training seminars, and a resource library to enrich their programs.

Friendship Circles: is designed to facilitate the development of friendships between children with disabilities and their peers.

Caring Communities: helps communities define their needs and find the resources to meet them.

Fit Phelps: will provide nutrition and physical fitness information, support systems, and programs to all Phelps County residents.

For families
:

Capable Kids and Families: provides support for families of children with special needs through a therapy equipment loan program, networking, meetings, resource library, and family fun days.

Linking Hearts: for families interested in adoption, our program offers an opportunity to meet children who need a loving family and guide families through the adoption process.

Girls, Inc.: fosters pre-teen girls' communication skills, provides health education and promotes their relationships with their mothers or guardians.

For teens:

Youth Employment Skills: teens looking for their first job are given the skills they need to find and keep a job, with worksite mentoring  to help them succeed.

Youth Empowerment: helping teens deal with anger and emotional issues to gain communication skills and coping strategies to achieve their goals.

Young Parents: education, support, and mentoring to make sure teenagers facing the challenges of parenthood provide a healthy, happy environment for their child.
